Working at the help desk, I often get into conversations with dairy owners and managers. Recently I was having a conversation with a dairyman about mastitis and asked him this question: "Do you know the difference in the 305 ME milk with the cows that had mastitis in the first 60 days versus those that did not?
This is just one of the many questions we could have asked in the situation... but it gave me a chance to jump in and use our cohort analysis tool to come up with the answer.

There is a number of other questions we can ask as well like:
- What pen is the mastitis coming from?
- What is the rate of new infections?
- What is the recovery rate?
- Are my milkers identifying mastitis?
I'll review these and other questions soon. For now, share your thoughts in the comments and maybe it will guide me for future videos.
